On a near-future New Year’s Eve, a disabled, malfunctioning UFO tumbles through the atmosphere and almost collides with Central Pacific Airlines Flight 855. Both ditch in the Pacific Ocean. Alone and floating in a raft, Central Pacific pilot Kup Winston decides to swim with sharks to save the life of the alien commander of the UFO he almost hit.
He soon regrets his act of compassion when he learns that Earth is about to become the dumping ground for hundreds of thousands of convicts from an overcrowded alien world that has socially engineered itself out of options.
And he just saved the life of the guy in charge.
Now he knows too much. Now he’s a wanted man, scheduled to be Cancelled—cryogenically frozen—forever.
Saving the world was never on his bucket list, but he’s got no choice. To save himself, he must first save the world.
He’s just one man, and the aliens’ Peace Squad is on its way.
“Nice night,” First Officer Kuparr Winston said as he glanced through the Central Pacific Airlines 777 windshield after closing the flight deck door. Puffy clouds, illuminated by the full moon, stretched to the horizon thirty thousand feet below. Underneath the windshield, five large screens displayed a multitude of information, emitting a soft glow into the dark flight deck. He focused on the second screen from the right, which displayed their route of flight as a vertical magenta line interrupted by several waypoints. They were still well west of the International Date Line, but where they were going, it had just become today. In fact, it had just become this year.
Humanity as we know it will end, and the only man who can save us is on the FBI's Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list.

Kyle Fields was born and raised in San Angelo, Texas, and received a bachelor’s and master’s degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. After college, he pursued his lifelong dream of becoming an Air Force pilot and instructed in the T-37 and C-17. After the Air Force, he became an airline pilot for a major US airline in 1999 and became an unemployed airline pilot shortly after September 2001. Having no small business experience but liking boats almost as much as he likes airplanes, he and his wife moved across the country to the Big Island of Hawaii, where they bought and operated an ocean rafting and snorkeling tour business together. With better economic times, he returned to flying. He still lives on the Big Island with his wife, Pat, and their chocolate lab, Ozzy.
